VIPs is a constellation of four theaters, three in Vermont and one in Quebec. It aspires to be binational and bilingual. We look forward to the day when we can share audiences and knowledge across the border and not be hampered by political or linguistic barriers. We are a region that spans two states and one province. We share a climate and an ecology. We are called the Champlain Valley We could be a united artistic community. That is our mission in presenting our first festival

1. SONG OF MYSELF; JOHN O’KEEFE: John O’Keefe interprets Walt Whitman’s Song of Myself: 50 Minutes, Filmed by William Farley at “The Marsh” in San Francisco, 2007 PG. Actor Playwright John O’Keefe delivers excerpts and commentary on Walt Whitman’s classic celebration of “self” and the act of self-realization. He has an extraordinary gift with language, as a writer and performer.

2. DR. SEBASTIAN BRACKENRIDGE: GORGONA, PG, 35 Min.
World famous Demigod and Supernatural historian, delivers a lecture about Gorgons. Who were the gorgons? Were they really that ugly or are we just talking about a bad case of acne? Dr. Brackenridge leaves the crowd shocked in this hysterical parody of a BBC program.
Dr. Sebastian Brackenridge is a world-famous Demigod and Supernatural historian, social media influencer, pet video posting aficionado, and one of the gayest men in Great Britain. His hilarious lectures are in high demand...in his mind.
3. MONKEY MAN: DANA BLOCK : PG 35 min.
Monkey Man is a solo show written and performed by theater artist Dana Block. It is about her teenaged brother falling off the edge of sanity and the effect that had on her and her family who, at the time, did not understand his mental illness. Much of it is based on her brother’s writings, set down in notebooks as his hallucinations began to take over his sense of reality. Heartbreaking and Funny and Real . Monkey Man has been performed in Vermont and Chicago and most recently at the United Solo Festival, Theater Row, 42nd Street, where this was filmed in 2019 by Todd Baker.
Dana Block is an actress and writer who has performed in many theaters around the country, in Chicago, Boston, NYC, Buffalo and San Francisco and locally with Vermont Stage and Lost Nation Theater and at Off Center for the Dramatic Arts. Her original works include "Monkey Man," La Vache Sauvage," "Queen Kong," and "My Hair Piece."
4. FLOCKS: A POEM BY GEOF HEWITT, 3 Min
Poet Geof Hewitt spends a lot of time at his bird feeder studying birds. He marvels at their intelligence and incredible coordination. Not to compare them to humans....but…
Geof Hewitt used to live in a cabin 12 miles south of the 48th parallel with his wife and young son, the author Ben Hewitt. He has published four poetry collections and four books of nonfiction. He is the Godfather of Vermont Slams and is the self proclaimed reigning "Slam Champ of Ver

This is a poetic rant delivered by a guy living on the street to passersby at a bus-stop. The speaker is possessed by the spirit of the Moon, his protectress, to whom he attributes all his yearning, anger and love. Man in the Moon was first performed by David Schein in 1983 in Berkeley California and was revived by him in 2018. It is published in a marvelous collection of John O’Keefe’s solo works; “Shimmer and Other Texts. “

David Schein has played many roles in the theater: actor, director, playwright, producer, composer and producer. He is the cofounder of the Grotowski-based Iowa Theater Lab, the acclaimed Berkeley-based performance ensemble -The Blake Street Hawkeyes, and also of One Love HIV/AIDS Awareness Theater in Ethiopia.
David Tepfer is a scientist, photo/videographer, writer and cyclist. He co-founded L'Etalier de la Main D'Or in Paris, France, with his late wife, the singer Becky Tepfer,. His concert and outdoor videos can be found on his YouTube channel. His novel,

Reports of white mothers with mixed-race children in Manhattan using the N-word in front of their children to a bagel shop worker, epitomizes the need for more active courageous conversations by white people for white people because "Racism" is a white person's problem.

Written and performed by PHINNEUS SONIN, The show is gross and funny and probably would vastly entertain any four year old . Phinn gleefully deconstructs "good taste." He is a local eccentric performing around Burlington for the last 20 years. He has performed with Cabaret troupes, burlesque shows, and local video projects. He is the owner of Junktiqies, a Burlington drift shop and is the Father of Esse Luma, another local performer!
